The City of Rovigo's fares in force since 24 April 2023, explained item by item: taximeter, per-km rates out of the centre, fixed fares and special fares.

What the taximeter charges

The taximeter adds a fixed starting fare and then counts kilometres or time.

How the taximeter counts

It counts kilometres when the car is moving and time when it is stopped or in a queue.

The €1.20 per km rate applies within the urban perimeter: the area inside the inner ring road, plus the Commenda Est and Ovest and San Bortolo districts, the station and Viale Porta Adige up to Via Zuccherificio. If you call a taxi, according to the City the taximeter starts when the taxi sets off to reach you.

Surcharges

What is added to the taximeter

They appear on the taximeter display and the driver adds them at the end of the ride, telling you which ones apply.

As the City points out, fares set by resolution are maximum amounts: the driver may charge you less, never more.

They apply to direct routes, with no stops on the way, in both directions.
Night and public holidays (€1.70), luggage (€0.50 per item) and waiting time are extra.
Ask the driver for the fixed fare before setting off, as the City recommends.
Zone M4: the area between Via Fermi, Corso del Popolo, the western bypass (Tangenziale Ovest), Ponte di Marabin, Via Alighieri and Viale Porta Adige up to Via Bramante (see the City's map).
Zone M5: the area within the western ring road with the Tassina and San Pio X districts, the station and Viale Porta Adige up to Via Merlin, excluding Granzette and Mezzavia.
La Fattoria and Area 13: up to the roundabout between the SS 16 and the Transpolesana.
